Former Treasurer of Levi Strauss & Co
Mr. Maurer served as Vice President and Treasurer of Levi Strauss & Co., the global apparel marketer. During his twenty year tenure as Treasurer of the privately held company, he led more than twenty-two billion dollars of public and private debt financings. The company is recognized for its innovative and effective approach to the management of currency risks, an effort spearheaded by Mr. Maurer. Earlier in his career at Levi's he led the international treasury function and the direct managemetn of global currency trading activities. Prior to joining Levi Strauss & Co., he was with the Bank of America's Global Banking Division.
He is an engineering graduate of Michigan State University and holds an MBA from Stanford University.
